Privacy and analytics
Optional first-party analytics and Google Analytics 4 run only after you opt in. A material change to this notice invalidates prior consent and asks you to choose again. Declining blocks these optional analytics. Routine hosting and security systems may still process technical request data under provider settings.
What we collect
If you allow optional analytics, this site's first-party system records a pseudonymous browser identifier, IP address, timestamp, page path and query string, referrer, selected site actions, browser user-agent, and approximate country, region, city, and Cloudflare data-centre code. Events include page views, visible button labels, Spotify/YouTube outbound-link URLs, and audio play/error events with the audio URL. On the lettuce page, events also include pickup-button clicks, selected patch numbers, share-flow outcomes (share dialog completed, link copied, cancelled, unavailable, or failed), and successful contact submissions tagged with patch number. These events do not include contact details or message contents. First-party event code does not read worksheet answers. The generic chatbot button copies only a fixed prompt.
Google Analytics 4 loads only after the same opt-in and receives consented usage events. Google may also collect standard browser/device and approximate-location information and use a pseudonymous browser identifier. Google says it uses IP addresses at collection to derive location and discards them before logging data. Google: default data collection · Google: regional data collection and IP addresses.
Why we collect it
First-party analytics are used to understand audience reach, improve the site, diagnose media delivery, and plan Wasi River Bluegrass presentation. Google Analytics 4 is a separate service. Its data-sharing controls and the settings for this site's property govern Google's processing and use. Those account settings were not rechecked for this notice.
Retention and access
First-party detailed event records stored in this site's Cloudflare database have a 30-day expiry and are removed by scheduled cleanup. This period does not apply to Google Analytics. The current Google Analytics property retention value was not rechecked for this notice. Google explains that its user- and event-level retention setting controls deletion from Analytics servers; it does not remove standard aggregated reports. Google: data-retention controls and limits.
Your choice
You can decline analytics when prompted. A prior choice for an older notice does not authorize collection under this notice. Use “Change analytics choice” to reopen the prompt, or withdraw consent on this browser. Withdrawal records a denial for this notice version, removes the site's visitor identifier and accessible Google Analytics cookies, updates Google consent where available, and stops future optional events unless you opt in again. It does not delete event records already stored by this site or Google; first-party records expire under the period above. For an access/deletion request, contact the site owner through the published contact channel.
Worksheet privacy
This site does not receive or store your worksheet answers. Analytics do not include the answers. Your browser or device may keep or restore them. Downloaded or printed copies remain wherever you save or leave them. Keep identifying details out of the website worksheet. Removing names may not prevent identification from distinctive roles, dates, locations, or events. Sharing notes with a chatbot sends them to that provider under its own terms.
Workplace field aid
The field aid is general educational guidance, not an individualized assessment, professional service, or claim of conformity. Completing its worksheet does not submit a report or pause any applicable deadline. Sharing it through a workplace or external process may have consequences under that process. Check the applicable workplace process and available external routes. A workplace report or confidential professional consultation may need specific names, dates, and events.
Contact messages
If you send a message through a contact form, your name, email address, subject, category, and message are used to respond. The form also sends a hidden anti-abuse field and a Cloudflare Turnstile verification token. The site Worker verifies the submission and sends it through Microsoft 365 to its configured recipient. Contact submissions are not written to the site's analytics database or used for advertising. Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical information to help distinguish people from automated submissions.
The lettuce page has a separate, optional checkbox for occasional email updates from BridgeIncluded.ca about Wasi River Bluegrass music and related releases. It is unchecked by default and is not required to send a lettuce inquiry. If selected, the Worker includes the exact consent wording and its UTC submission time in the message sent to the configured mailbox. This form records the choice; it does not create a mailing list or send marketing messages.
Contact-message retention and requests
We use the configured Microsoft 365 mailbox as the record of contact submissions and do not keep a separate site database or CRM. The site operator should delete inquiry messages within 12 months after the inquiry is closed, unless they need to be kept longer for a legal, security, or dispute-related reason. If you opted into updates, your consent record may be kept while that permission is being relied on. If you withdraw it, we will stop using it for future updates and keep only the minimum suppression information needed to avoid contacting you again. Microsoft 365 retention, backup, and deletion settings may affect when copies are fully removed.
To ask to access or correct your contact information, or to withdraw permission for future updates, use the contact form and put “Privacy request” or “Unsubscribe” in the subject. Withdrawing permission does not affect your lettuce inquiry. We will action an unsubscribe request promptly and within the applicable legal period.
