UCR 101: Document the Risk and Kick the Drum

Fictional committee. Real psychosocial hazards. WRBG’s Safety Committee and its creative control room are fictional. The campaign is educational and is not an official reporting channel, emergency service, individualized assessment, or professional advice.

Workplace field aid

This short aid helps you prepare to raise a concern about a work condition and follow up on whether it changes. You do not need to send personal or workplace details to this site.

  1. Name the work condition. Describe the task, schedule, workload, role, change, or work interaction that creates concern.
  2. Describe the effect on the work. Record what is happening, when it happens, and what work or people are affected. Keep notes factual and store them safely.
  3. Consider a source-level change. Ask what can change in the work, tools, staffing, schedule, decision authority, or process. Individual coping is not a substitute for addressing a work-design hazard.
  4. Choose a suitable route. Consider a supervisor, worker representative, health and safety committee, union, or another trusted workplace contact. Check your own workplace process and local requirements.
  5. Agree on ownership and follow-up. Ask who will do what, by when, and how you will check whether the change helped. If the concern remains, consider another appropriate support route.

If there is immediate danger or someone needs urgent help, contact local emergency services or the appropriate urgent support in your area. This website cannot dispatch help or monitor a workplace.
